This is a fictional story set in Biblical times, but it is a story of hope! We all know that nothing worthwhile comes easily. Artaban, was a physician, priest, astrologer and a wise man from Persia. He'd studied the prophesies and saw a sign in the heavens that he hoped will lead him to the promised Messiah. He misses his rendezvous with three other wise men because he delayed to help a dying man. He pursued Jesus for 33 years, only to miss him at every turn. He uses the three precious gems which he planned to present to the child Jesus, to help people to avoid death. In the end he has no gifts to offer except the greatest gift of all, his love! In spite of what seemed to be endless struggles, he stayed true to his cause, persisted, and nurtured within him the desire to do good. The story culminates on Easter Sunday as he is old and dying, finally encountering Jesus bringing peace to his final moments of life.
