2024 - 2025 Programs
 Tuesday, Oct 29, 2024 - 11:30am - 3:30pm
We will look at the roots and history of the Celtic Christian tradition and the lives of the holy men and women who founded this holistic way of living where creation was seen as the primary revelation of the Divine. At the same time, Sacred Scripture was at the heart of the monastic way of life. The Celtic saints teach us how to find the light of Christ in the natural world and in the ordinary. We will spend some time in reflection, using selections from J. Philip Newell’s Sounds of the Eternal: A Celtic Psalter, Morning and Night Prayer. (A sampling: “…Grant us the grace of love this day / that amidst the pain and disfigurement of life / we may find the treasure that is unlocked by love…”) The first seven people to register for this presentation will receive a free hard-bound copy of Celtic Benediction: Morning and Night Prayer by J. Philip Newell.
The day begins with registration and lunch at 11:30am and ends about 3:30pm.
Suggested offering $15 includes lunch
